Jenna Fischer has become best known as Pam Beesly, the character she played in The Office. In the course of playing this character, she was awarded two SAG Awards in Outstanding Ensemble Comedy as well as an Emmy Award for Best Supporting Actress.
Jenna was born and raised in St. Louis Missouri. Jenna grew up watching her mother Anne, in church productions. This instilled in her a passion for theater.
She's an actress trained who returned to theater after The Office. She starred in the Off-Broadway production Reasons to Be Happy, written and directed by Neil LaBute and co-starring Josh Hamilton, Leslie Bibb, as well as Fred Weller. Then she starred in Steve Martin's Meteor Shower - an absurdist play starring Greg Germann with Josh Stamberg - for the Old Globe Theatre's world premiere.
The Office star Angela Kinsey's best friend in real life and Fischer launched the Office Ladies podcast, on Earwolf, in October of 2019. The podcast soon gained popularity. Every week it ranked within the Top Ten in global downloads, with over 200 million in just its beginning two years. Office Ladies took home the iHeart Radio Podcast of the Awards in January 2021.
She is also co-author of Office BFF's Tales of The Office The Story of Two Best Friends The Office. This memoir is about their relationship and working together in the production of The Office.
